How to enrich your Forms with media-based answer options

August 21, 2025

We’ve introduced a new feature in  Aidbox Forms that lets you add media: images, videos, or audio clips, right next to specific answer options.

This makes forms clearer and easier to use by giving users helpful visuals or sounds to better understand or recognize their choices.

Here are some examples where this feature can be especially helpful:

  • Dermatology Triage Forms: let patients choose an image that resembles their skin condition
  • Mental Health Screenings for Children: make response options easier with illustrations
  • Cognitive Assessment Tools: present visual prompts to evaluate recognition
  • Wound Assessment Forms: help clinicians select wound types or stages using photos

Whether you want to improve patient understanding or make clinical workflows clearer, adding media to answer options makes your forms more effective and user-friendly.

Watch our video guide to learn how to add media to your forms and make your next form more practical and engaging. Try it now in the Aidbox Form Builder, online and free!

I skipped a lot of recent conferences to prioritize attending FHIR Camp 2024 in Portugal the week before last. It was well worth the trip! It was great to hear Grahame Grieve give the background story on how FHIR came to be an open source effort. The open source angle is really important and unique in that it will require a lot of meaningful collaboration and perhaps unprecedented transparency (things we're not great at in the US) to advance these standards in the coming years. There is and will be a lot of opportunity for people to develop and offer FHIR expertise.
