Health Samurai will be at the HL7 Working Group Meeting and FHIR Connectathon to work on FHIR implementations and testing, and discuss real-world interoperability challenges. Meet our team to talk about:
The event will be held in Madrid, Spain, from May 10 to 16, 2025.
Here’s what we’ll be working on in more detail:
1. Making FHIR Terminology work in real systems
FHIR terminology tools promise consistent data across systems—but making them work requires more than just the spec. Our software architects, Orlando Osorio and Guillermo Rodríguez González, will be in the Terminology track, tackling the practical challenges of mapping legacy codes, maintaining value sets, and keeping terminology services performant.
2. SQL on FHIR: The missing query layer
Nikolai Ryzhikov, Samurai’s CTO, will demonstrate how SQL on FHIR can bridge the gap between FHIR data model and the way analysts and applications actually need to query data. If your team knows SQL, you should be able to work with FHIR data without learning a new query language.
3. FHIR-native forms with Aidbox
Maria Ryzhikova, Aidbox Forms Team Lead, will be available throughout the event to discuss how the team is implementing FHIR SDC in real projects. If you’re working on dynamic medical forms, you can connect with Maria to exchange practical insights.
Mike Kulakov, Product Manager for the Aidbox FHIR server, and Aleksandr Kislitsyn, Samurai’s Solution Architect, will be attending too, and are ready to share practical deployment insights from production FHIR implementations.
If you're tackling similar challenges, let's compare approaches.
