Rendering HL7 FHIR Questionnaires Across Multiple UI Systems

FHIR Questionnaires are designed to be reusable and UI-agnostic.  
In practice, however, they are often tightly coupled to a single frontend framework or design system.

We’re changing that.

We are building a React-based renderer for HL7 FHIR Questionnaires with fully pluggable themes.

The Formbox renderer is headless — you provide the theme and include its CSS. This approach enables rendering Questionnaires across any UI system while keeping full control over layout and styling.

With the Formbox renderer, you can:

- Build clinical forms once & distribute them across multiple UI systems
- Apply pluggable themes
- Use predictable state management
- Preview components in Storybook

The renderer includes predefined themes such as NHS, Ant Design, and Mantine, and also supports fully custom design systems.

Multiple configuration and extension mechanisms are available at different levels, allowing you to customize form layout and presentation as needed.
